Medieval Joinery

I have been working on old buildings for many years and I have come to realise that the best way to have something that fits with the style of the building is often to make something that fits with the date of the building.

These doors are for a "cave" of a 17th century country house in the Auvergne . I made them from 56mm solid oak, mortise and ten ones and pegged. I re-used old hinges made of forged iron. You can expect these doors to last at least 200 years.
